Diwali @ Hyderabad

When I am writing this...it is all silence around me. No sounds, light and smell of crackers. Dense smoke have been cleared. Only the waste scattered here & there....like memories scattered in heart. My mind drifts back... over to the beautiful time @LBSCE where we celebrated each and every function with one hell of a happiness. The peculiar thing about celebrations at LBS is that it is all in front of LADIES HOSTEL. We assemble there, light up crackers, sing songs especially nadanpattu. We shout scream and all in all ogle the girls. And most exciting thing is to sent rockets to the windows of LH. It was real celebration, where we were a part. And now from Hyderabad when i remember all those golden memories etched in my memory for ever, i got only few tears with me.
Diwali was some experience at Hydbd. One thing i understood after coming to this metropolitan city is that people here does not care about money when it comes to celebration. It had started a few days before itself. But all i was excited about diwali was that i heard we will get special food(trust me food here sucks). So i was eagerly waiting for it. But what we got was one of the worst thing they make- brinjal, what we call the bomb. So we decided to have food from outside. After having food we all went for a walk around. But this walking have been dangerous since kids have been blasting the crackers near our legs. And once a rocket missed us by inches. I wondered how the drivers managed... especially bikers. When we reached near a showroom the celebration was at its peek. Because of them the whole traffic was at mayhem. Police was trying hard to control the traffic jam. But fireworks were great. But more wonderful was the hot chick who was lighting the crackers and other girls around the place in colourful dresses and definitely showing their assets. The fun was when a rocket backfired on the hot chick. Her skirt caught fire. (Un)Luckily nothing happened. It was then the owner of showroom understood that we were actually ogling girls. He shouted at us but we did not move a inch. Then came police with their electric batons and charged us out of area. We ran for our life. When we rounded our way back to hostel we saw a family celebrating in front of their flat. We joined them and thank god, chicks were there here too. Enjoyed a lot. After celebrating and of course studying the anatomy of girls we bid them good bye, wishing happy diwali.
Diwali is the celebration of victory of good over evil. It is a celebration of light. And indeed Hyderabad was ablaze on diwali night like a day. Let the light be spread......the light of care comfort and love.....
